The Right Hook is a rugged 2006 28-foot Parker center console, powered by twin 300ho Yamaha outboards and equipped with state-of-the-art electronics for safe, efficient fishing. With a fully enclosed cabin, comfortable seating, a full head, a large 9x10-foot cockpit, and a 65-gallon bait tank, this fast and stable vessel is perfectly rigged for battling big Stripers, Halibut, Sturgeon, and offshore species in the Bay Area’s varied waters.

We offer exciting fishing trips in the Delta, Bays and Ocean.
Potluck Fishing
During the Summer, we slip up in Berkeley Marina. We have prime access to San Francisco and San Pablo Bay for Halibut and Striped Bass fishing. In addition, it is a short run to the Pacific Ocean for Salmon, Rockfish, and Lingcod.

From October through April, we spend our time fishing for Striped Bass and Sturgeon in the Delta.

Where do you launch from?
The Right Hook is a Bay Area boat fishing the San Francisco Bay, the Delta, and the Pacific Ocean. The exact Marina depends on where the fish are biting — you'll get the meeting point and time with your booking confirmation.
What species can I catch?
It varies by season. Striped bass and California halibut in the Bay through spring and summer; sturgeon in the Bay and Delta in winter and spring; ocean and river salmon when seasons are open; sharks year-round. Our captain knows what's running and will put you on the best bite.
Do I need a fishing license?
Yes — every angler 16 and older needs a valid California fishing license. You can buy one online at the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) website, or pick one up at most outdoor and tackle shops before the trip.
What gear is provided? Can I bring my own?
All rods, reels, and tackle are provided and rigged for the species we're targeting. You're welcome to bring your own gear if you prefer — let us know in advance so we can match it to the trip.
What should I bring?
Dress in layers — Bay weather can change fast. Bring sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, non-marking shoes, and any food or drinks you'd like. We'll handle bait, tackle, and a fish bag for your catch.
